2. Data processed

Access and security

The hosting provider may process technical data required to transmit and secure the site: IP address, date and time, requested resource, browser, system, response code and error logs.

Map and weather resources

The map loads certain necessary resources directly from OpenFreeMap, RainViewer and a distribution network used for MapLibre. Their servers normally receive the IP address and technical information required for the connection. Pixel Komando does not use these requests for advertising.

Geolocation

When you choose “Locate me”, your browser may provide your coordinates to the page after you grant permission. BERadar uses them locally to display your position and centre the map. They are not stored in Feedback or sent to Pixel Komando.

Feedback form

When a message is sent, BERadar processes the message, the relevant page, the browser used and, if provided, your name and email address. A non-reversible hash of the IP address is retained temporarily to limit abusive submissions. The “Website” field is an anti-spam trap and must remain empty.

Audience measurement

Only after acceptance may Google Analytics 4 process viewed pages, general interactions, device type, browser and an approximate geographic area. BERadar does not send your name, email address or Feedback content to Google.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Display the map, transmit data and ensure security: performance of the requested service and legitimate interest in keeping BERadar reliable and secure.
• Limit Feedback abuse: legitimate interest in protecting the form and infrastructure.
• Process and reply to feedback: steps taken at your request and legitimate interest in improving BERadar.
• Measure the audience with Google Analytics 4: your prior, freely given and revocable consent.

4. Retention periods

• The hash used to prevent Feedback abuse is automatically deleted after approximately 15 minutes.
• Feedback messages and associated contact details are deleted no later than 12 months after the last exchange, unless evidence or a legal obligation requires otherwise.
• Technical logs accessible to Pixel Komando are intended to be retained for no more than 30 days, unless a security incident or legal obligation requires otherwise.
• Google Analytics event data is intended to be retained for no more than 14 months.
• Analytics cookies and your consent choice have a maximum lifetime of 180 days. A new decision may then be requested.

5. Recipients and transfers

Depending on the function used, data may be processed by:

• Pixel Komando SNC, for BERadar administration and replies to messages;
• Infomaniak Network SA, for hosting the site and email in Switzerland;
• operators of technical resources loaded directly by your browser, including OpenFreeMap, RainViewer and unpkg ;
• Google Ireland Limited, only after acceptance of audience measurement.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, such processing must rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of or objection to the processing of your data. You may withdraw your Analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated as BERadar, its sources, tools or applicable obligations evolve. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
